PIANO COMPETITION RULES
10TH JACINTO GUERRERO FOUNDATION INTERNATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION 2006
Since 1984, the Jacinto & Inocencio Guerrero Foundation has been holding a series of music competitions aimed at boosting and lending incentive to the careers of young performers. Indeed, the Acisclo Fernández Carriedo International Singing Competition was created in 1984, followed by the H.R.H. Princess Cristina International Guitar Competition a year later and the Jacinto Guerrero Foundation International Piano Competition in 1987. Over the course of the years, the Piano Competition has witnessed a notable rise in the value of the prize money on offer, and since 2003 has included a final round with orchestral accompaniment, held in collaboration with the Radiotelevisión Española Symphony Orchestra. There has been a similar increase in the number of concerts appearances and performances at different venues, with this currently including recordings for radio and television.
