Of special significance have been the activities held to mark the centenary of Jacinto Guerrero's birth and the fiftieth anniversary of his death (1895-1951). Through the medium of theatrical events, concerts, publications and album releases, a concerted effort has been made to enhance awareness of the Ajofrín-born maestro's repertoire, ranging from the still popular to the long forgotten.
